Incoming Mails - 09 December 2020

Sometimes only incoming mails makes me happy. No stress and putting a smile.

This one particular letter was a postal miracle. It was missent to Malaysia because it was labeled Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam at the same time. But luckily it was sent correctly after it travels to Malaysia.
Better late than never.

My Collection of First Day Covers BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Made a simple video of some of my Brunei Darussalam First Day Covers.

Truth: starting to like making videos using simple features and just to show my collections.

I am not a very techy, video editing pro type of person. To me, simple is better. Enjoy!!!!

incoming mail today 25 November 2020

Hello again, my mailbox is a happy guy for receiving one mail from Singapore. I'm done recording my incoming mails as I have not received any for almost a month now until today .... yay

I've made a video of it...using a free apps on my phone. I'm not a techy person...so I just go with the flow.

1st POSTCROSSING MEETUP IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

It was planned about a month ago. Suggested by a fellow postcrosser whom I met when reaching out to local stamps collectors for an informal meeting with us.

Now it had finally happened and was really looking forward to it.

Thank you all for coming to our simple meetup and getting to know each other session. It was fun. We will be meeting up again, and this next time to hope to get more postcrossers. All I can say is, Don't be shy and show us what you got too. In the first meeting, we were all shy at first, but towards the end we were talking non stop. The food got cold and I ordered my second round of hot Teh Tarik...

I'm sharing a few photos (credit to all of us for the pictures shared). It may not be much but yeah, we had fun.

Want to explore the fun with us, come join postcrossing

I've tried making a video using pictures from here too. Click here.

D-DAY : 1ST POSTCROSSING MEETUP IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

Nothing much to say actually. Its just a mixture of feelings. I'm not good with meeting new people. I tend to be very shy and need someone to start a conversation first then I'm all good from there.

But when it comes to talking about what I like, I can be very talkative.

For later, first things first.  Must order food.

D-1 : For the 1st Postcrossing Meetup in Brunei Darussalam

I am just happy and nervous for the first time postcrossing meetup. Happy that I can get to meet other postcrossers and nervous as I don't really know them well.

I am sure after tomorrow, everyone will be comfortable and hope will be able to gather more and more postcrossers from Brunei and also collectors too.

D-2 TO THE 1ST POSTCROSSING MEETUP IN BRUNEI DARUSSALAM

I am as happy as I can be for the 1st Postcrossing Meetup in Brunei Darussalam.

This 1st will be among local postcrossers whom we connect through instagram. Its a connection to build and strengthen and build up more after this.

With border closed, obviously it will only be for us.  Maybe if everything is ok already, then we can have more and more meetups, domestic or international.

Will be posting more in this coming week.

For tonight, just a short one.

And now I am back to my postcards writing and preparing mails to mail out tomorrow.

WRITING LETTER OR PENPALING - THEN AND NOW

It looks like I am slowly going back to letter writing or penpaling. I used to write letters to penpals before I even know what a mobile phone is. Even when emailing was still a new thing. I can say that was like about 20-25 years ago. I did have a few. What I mean by a few is actually less than 10 penpals. I just don't remember where I get them. One from USA, from Poland, from Pakistan, from UK, from Malaysia and from Philippines. But to date, I am still in contact with my penpal from Malaysia and UK. I even get the chance to meet my penpal from Malaysia when visiting Malaysia many years back.

Thanks to cyberworld, we can still be easily in contact. But I do miss the manual, long winding, all talks letter writing.

I get back to letter writing, thanks to Postcrossing. I get to meet more and more people through it. I also get to join other club for exchanging First Day Cover and of course letter writing

I'm here giving the link is for me to share what I like.

How it used to be with only a writing pad, favourite pen, an envelope and a cup of coffee to accompany you when writing.

This is what penpaling is like today. It's not a MUST, but including some, they say it is somewhat special.

NOTE: I do NOT own the pictures. I'm just using it as a sample and I got them through google search.
